These terms and conditions delineate the operational framework and contractual obligations governing the utilization of the Carro website (referred to as the "www.my-carro.com"), managed by Carro Ltd (referred to as "we," "us," or "our"). Carro Ltd is a registered company in United Kingdom, holding company registration number 14062558. The company's official address is 128 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX.

These regulations pertain to the diverse vehicle offerings, referred to as "Packages," accessible through the Site. By initiating an order for a Package, users expressly consent to abide by these terms. Users further affirm their legal competence to enter into contractual agreements and to execute orders through the Site or in person at our sales premises. It is prudent to retain a copy of these terms for future reference.

 

In addition to these core terms, users are subject to supplementary regulations governing their use of the Site, encompassing:

 

• The stipulations outlined in our Website Terms of Use, governing the proper use of the Site.

• The provisions outlined in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, overseeing the handling of personal information furnished through or in connection with the Site.

• Adherence to the conditions specified in our Acceptable Use Policy, which delineate the appropriate use of the Carro website.

• The terms expounded in the physical Contract provided upon vehicle collection.

• It is within our purview to effect modifications to these terms, a process executed by updating them on the site. However, any such revisions shall not impact pre-existing orders.

 

Vehicle Usage

 

The principal function of the vehicle is intended for private hire. Users are responsible for settling fines, penalties, or charges arising from vehicle use. Additionally, users are obligated to adhere to stipulated mileage limitations, with excess mileage incurring supplementary charges. Failure to comply with these stipulations grants us the right to expediently terminate the Contract and demand the return of the vehicle within 48 hours.

 

Pricing

 

The costs associated with the various Packages are presented periodically on the Site. We retain the prerogative to adjust these prices without prior notification. Notably, prices stated in existing Contracts shall remain unchanged unless the Contract is subject to modification. Distinct Packages may encompass varying features and inclusions, such as insurance and breakdown cover, and these aspects are susceptible to change.

 

Payment

 

Accepted payment methods include solely Visa and MasterCard credit and debit cards. We do not entertain transactions involving American Express, PayPal, or alternative payment methods unless explicitly stated on the website. Payments are processed on a weekly basis, with the corresponding amount being charged to the user's card.

 

Additional Charges

 

Users are mandated to fulfil punctual payment of charges and fees arising during the Contract period. This incorporates charges levied by authorities and administrative fees incurred by us. Instances warranting administrative fees may encompass:

 

• Transferring liability for penalty charges from our end to the user.

• Failure to rectify delinquent weekly payments within a 24-hour period.

• Entry into London's congestion charge zone or crossing the Dartford Bridge.

• Exceeding the annual mileage cap of 40,000 miles (or approximately 800 miles per week).

• Failure to settle outstanding balances within four working days may culminate in the unilateral termination of the Contract.

 

Cancellation and Reimbursement

 

Requests for the cancellation of an order or Contract should be communicated via email to cancellation@my-carro.com.

 

Carro Rent +

 

Users possess the prerogative to cancel a Carro Rent + order before taking possession of the vehicle. However, if cancellation transpires within seven days of the scheduled pickup date, the initial payment shall not be subject to reimbursement. Following the vehicle's acquisition, the Contract comes into effect. Subsequently, Contract termination is viable after a minimum of 88 days, contingent on a 28-day notice. The initial payment remains non-refundable in this context.

 

Rental

 

Cancellation of a Rental order prior to the vehicle handover entails a full deposit reimbursement. Subsequently, Contract termination is permissible after a minimum of 28 days, subject to a 7-day notice period. Deposit reimbursement occurs within 10-14 days, although additional charges may apply.

 

Sabbatical

 

Users availing themselves of aCarro Rent+ vehicle are entitled to take up to 4 weeks of annual leave, provided specific conditions are met. A weekly administrative fee of £20 is applicable during this period of sabbatical. Engaging in sabbatical weeks extends the Contract's duration commensurate with the duration of the leave.

 

Insurance Coverage

 

Complimentary third-party PCO insurance coverage is extended, subject to an insurance excess. However, users may incur charges in the event of a claim. We assume responsibility for funding this insurance, aligning it with a comprehensive coverage level. Nevertheless, the extent of user liability in the event of an incident may vary depending on the specifics of the Contract and the vehicle.

 

Warranty and Indemnity

 

You acknowledge that the goods are required for the purpose of the business carried out by yourself and was selected by you on your own skill and judgement. Users also affirm their awareness that the provisions of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 do not apply in this context. You have waived your right.  Furthermore, users undertake to indemnify us against claims, losses, and damages arising from breaches of the Contract. Within the framework of a Rent to Buy Contract, we retain a vested financial interest, obligating users to continue rental payments even in the event of vehicle non-operability. Users are prohibited from selling or subletting the vehicle and are required to promptly notify us of any changes in contact information via email at info@my-carro.com.
